Come join us by the Campus Lake for a BBQ. It's the ultimate way to unwind, catch up with friends, and celebrate the summer. It’s a great chance to experience a classic British-style BBQ, whether you’re here for the grilled favourites, the chill atmosphere, or just hoping to spot a few ducks while you snack, this is the place to be!
Whether you've just arrived or have been here a while, this is the perfect setting to make new friends and enjoy the summer sun, with a few ducks nearby to keep things interesting!

At this event, you’re invited to come and enjoy a relaxed BBQ by the campus lake. You’ll get to enjoy a range of delicious food and drinks .
The time during this event is largely unstructured, which gives you the chance to introduce yourself, meet new people if you want to, and settle in. If you need some help with this, for example, if you arrive on your own, ResLife team member Tabitha will happily help introduce you or help you find a seat on a table.
There is no set break, but you are welcome to leave and re-join the event at any point during the 2 hours. As mentioned, snacks and drinks will be provided, but feel free to also bring your own food and drink if you would like
ResLife team member Tabitha will be ready to meet you by the campus lake at 4pm. You’ll be able to recognise her wearing a light blue t-shirt or hoodie with the ResLife logo on.
If you prefer to arrive earlier, there is plenty of seating available around the lake where you are welcome to wait whilst the food and drinks and set up ready for the event start time.
Don't worry if you arrive after the event has started, you can join this event at any time and help yourself to the food and drink available.
